Like many small business managers over the last 20 years I was lead to believe that the national payroll service providers, with their broad reporting capabilities, would be of great value to my business.  My actual experience over a ten year period went from tolerable to clearly unethical.  Now, after allowing my friend and fellow Rotarian, Billy Barton, to process my payroll for the last twelve months, I’m more than happy to recommend Barton Tax and Accounting Service.

I have been using Billy’s services for a number of years now. Though I have some accounting background, and am currently a financial analyst/systems administrator, I don’t pretend to be cognizant enough to be able to complete the required tax forms for me and my family. I’m confident that he not only saves me time (and hours of swearing) but also ultimately saves me money — i.e., I’m sure that the fee I pay you is offset by deductions I would likely miss. In addition, the fact that he fills out my son’s taxes for FREE also saves me time (although his is very easy, it’s still a hassle to carve out the time needed to complete).

I was not sure what I was going to experience this year with my taxes with so many changes in my life (new home, father passing, life in general changes), but I have to say it will be an experience that I will not forget.
